Week of April 14-17

I hope families found creative ways to enjoy their long Easter weekend! It's hard to believe we are moving into our 5th week since our last day of "regular" school at Greenleaf. The staff at Allan A. Reading, Writing, and Math assignments have been posted on the Hub for the coming week (April 14-17). As always, work through the assignments at your own pace.

Here are a few extra activities if you find your child would like/needs more work. The extra activities listed in the Blog are optional. They are not submitted through the Hub for feedback. 

Spelling Words

1. Chose 5-10 words each week from the Dolch word list below.
2. Print each word and circle the vowels (a, e, i, o, u).
3. Print a sentence for each word.
4. Practise reading and writing the words each day.
5. Ask a family member to give you a "word challenge" at the end of the week.

Dance Mat Typing

This is for a valuable life-skill that many children will enjoy learning! Dance Mat Typing is an interactive, fun way for children to learn how to type.
